AKIN-JOHNSON OLADIPO AKINTUNDE

AKIN-JOHNSON OLADIPO AKINTUNDE is the Focal/Programme Officer for Literacy-by-Radio which was introduced by the National Mass Education Commission and UNESCO in year 2008.

He was born in Surulere area of Lagos.  He attended Yaba Model School for his primary education, CMS. Grammar School for his Secondary Education; Lagos State College of Education where he bagged his National Certificate in Education (Economics/Business Management); and Lagos State University for his tertiary education, where he bagged his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics Education.

He started work with the Lagos State Ministry of Finance as a Finance Officer in the year 2000 and was later re-designated to Education Officer in 2003. He was transferred to the Lagos State Examinations Board in 2003 where he served as Alimosho Zonal Officer, coordinating primary and secondary schools activities. He was seconded to serve as Personal Assistant to Special Adviser on Debt Management Office from 2005 to 2007 and was transferred to Lagos State Agency for Mass Education in 2007.

He has been responsible for collection, collation and processing of data in the Agency. He monitors Literacy-by-Radio programmes and Jingles being aired on radio stations in the State. He assists in training programmes organized by UNICEF, UNESCO/NMEC in Lagos.

He is married with children.
