MTN’s annual employee volunteer initiative (Y’ello Care Event) at the Rotary Vocational Training Centre (RVTC) in Igbogbo

MTN’s annual employee volunteer initiative (Y’ello Care Event) at the Rotary Vocational Training Centre (RVTC) in Igbogbo concluded today. The three-day programme focused on teaching out-of-school youths basic coding skills.


Through its partnership with the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education, MTN staff also donated the following to the centre: – Five brand-new 2-in-1 HP Desktop computers • Five Computer UPS – 3.5KVA solar system inverter – Two Tubular Batteries – Four Solar Panels


5G Router with 3 months of subscription The MTN team, led by Kokapo Olaleye, Yemisi Adeleye, Samusideen Odufisan, Moses Oyerinde, Ademola Olaniyan, Funmi Jegede, and Adeboye Adenuga amongst others were present at the closing ceremony.

The Lagos State Agency for Mass Education team, led by Director, Mrs. Oluwakemi Kalesanwo expressed gratitude to MTN staff for the donations. Mrs. Kalesanwo noted that the coding training and generous donation of computer systems, an inverter, and other vital resources will significantly enhance the training facility and will go a long way in empowering the trainees with the digital and vocational skills they need to thrive in today’s world. Other representatives from the Agency included Ibukun Seriki, Ibraheem Mustapha, Olaide Oladunjoye, Adegoke Otaru, Adeniyi Ologuntoye, Folarin Olufemi and the RVTC Principal, Mosun Otitoloju and Vice-Principal, Olayemi Adesina.
